Applicants who are accepted into the Academy programs may apply for Federal Financial Aid to cover their educational costs. With some basic information the Financial Aid Director can tell you if you qualify for financial aid.
You may be eligible for the following financial aid programs:
Pell Grant
Money given to you by the Federal Government to help you pay for your tuition. Since these are grants, they do not have to be repaid.
Student Loans
The Stafford Loan is a Federally guaranteed, subsidized student loan. The maximum amount is $3500.
The Unsubsidized Stafford Loan has a maximum of $4,000.00 per academic year.
These are long term, low interest loans. You make no payments on these loans until you have been out of school for six months.
Parent PLUS Loan
Parent PLUS Loan is borrowed by the parents on behalf of the student. The maximum amount is up to the cost of attendance.
Private Educational Loans
These loans are for students who do not qualify for all or part of the Federal programs. These loans are credit based, and have similar repayment options as the Federal loan programs. Students may need a co-signer to qualify for these loans.
